Alwyn the Alpenhorn Man was carved by Robby Bast over the weekend of 11/12th of August 2007 in around 10 hours.  Robby and his wife Petrina are from Seville in the Yarra Valley. As well as wood carving Robby works with limestone and ice, and also creates steel sculptures.  Last year he competed in the World Ice Carving Championships in Alaska.
